The Berlin-Spandau train station has Germany's longest platform hall: with 440 meters and a roof area of 11,000 square meters. A challenge for cleaning professionals to keep the complex clean.
The station was built according to plans by the architectural firm of Gerkan, Mard and Partners and opened in stages in 1997/1998. It was realized quite quickly how complicated it is to remove dirt from the four arched tunnel roofs made of glass.
