The mechanical engineering company is a specialist in the development and production of semi-automatic cleaning machines when it comes to surface care in the fields of glass, facades and solar. We supply our innovative, high-quality machine technology around the globe. Beyond our own machine technology, we are the system provider for surface cleaning and technical cleaning of object envelopes with our hyCLEANER® systems product category.
We operate in an emerging, forward-looking industry and make an active contribution to preventing climate change with our products. OUR HISTORY
2010
Foundation of TG hyLIFT GmbH
The company was founded in 2010 by Andreas Grochowiak and Alfons Thihatmer. Their years of experience in the development and manufacture of working platforms gave them the idea of the hyCLEANER. "Safely transporting people to heights" - that is the credo in the world of working platforms. Especially in roof and facade cleaning, the risks of accidents are diverse and it is important to minimize them. Thus, the idea of a cleaning robot was born, which is safely controlled from the working platform and cleans the unsafe terrain instead of humans.
2012
The first glass roof cleaning machine: hyCLEANER Blue Evo
An idea became reality and thus the year 2012 marks the birth of the first glass roof cleaning robot: hyCLEANER Blue Evo. The machine makes cleaning not only safer, but also much more efficient than manual cleaning. With radio control from the work basket, the machine is steered on the surfaces. A few development stages further, the machine later became GLASS ROOF and today glassROBOT.
2013
Launch of facade cleaning machines: red EVO I - III (today's facadeBRUSH series)
Building on the world of working platforms, the hyCLEANER team developed the next product idea: a large rotating brush in front of a boom lift is to revolutionize facade cleaning. Not an easy task, as working in height with a working platform is subject to a wide variety of challenges. Over the next few years, three versions of the machine were developed to meet the requirements of different facades. In 2014, a version was also developed to facilitate wind turbine cleaning.
2015
Co-creation with a pilot solar cleaning customer: Birth of Black Solar
What do solar panels and glass roofs have in common in the requirement of cleaning? In both cases, the cleaning machine moves on a glass surface. At the request of customers, the company thus further developed the specifications of the glass cleaning machine and launched the first solar cleaning machine "Black solar", which later evolved into SOLAR Facelift.
2017
Special cleaning machine: Berlin Spandau, DE
As a specialist in the development of cleaning machines, the former TG hyLIFT GmbH also develops and builds special machines for individual customers. Prestigious projects such as the Berlin Spandau railroad station are among them. The technical challenges of a railroad station were addressed here, with the entire cleaning process having to be carried out purely mechanically using water pressure in order to clean the curved roof efficiently and safely at regular intervals.
2018
Complete solutions for the cleaner: Power Station
From the very beginning, the company puts the customer in the focus of its actions. It is also important to pay attention to the needs of customers and to complete solutions for them. Thus, the team is always on the lookout for commodities that are a completion to the needs of customers. In 2019, the first fully equipped van was sold, which, in addition to the solar cleaning robot SOLAR Facelift, also offered an osmosis system for water treatment. Today, this is also supplemented by manual cleaning brush systems and offered as hyCLEANER system - whereby the customer always decides what he needs as a complete solution.
2021
The PV ground-mounted & roof-mounted system specialist: solarROBOT pro
The hyCLEANER is characterized by its innovative strength. This is also reflected in the continuous further development of existing products. With the solarROBOT pro, the solar cleaning machine was completely rethought: as a modular system with innovative functions that make work even easier for the operator. Hereby the basis for the series was created and holds some unique selling points on the market until today.
2022
Special cleaning machine: Geneva Airport, CH
With Geneva Airport in Switzerland, the hyCLEANER counts another prestigious object among its projects in the field of special mechanical engineering. The special geometry of the terminal makes cleaning by hand almost impossible. Therfore, a cleaning brush was developed that adapts to the limited space between the glass facade and the sunshade and its challenging structural specifications. Here, too, the brush works purely with water and without chemicals.
hyCLEANER repositions itself: Sales & start of series production
The worldwide efforts to achieve the set climate targets as well as the endeavors to operate in a resource-saving manner bring enormous changes - especially in energy production. For the hyCLEANER team, this is exactly the right time to move from one-off to series production. Michael Pfeiffer as new shareholder and chairman of the advisory board as well as Celina Kneiber (born Pfeiffer) and Josha Kneiber as additions to Andreas Grochowiak in the management team are coming on board. Alfons Thihatmer takes his well-deserved retirement.
2023
The future is hyCLEANER GmbH & Co. KG
Renewable energies and the solar industry in particular are bringing us major growth and that means opportunities and change. We are delighted to be taking the next step in the company's development and the associated growth: As part of this, our company has been renamed and transferred to a new legal form:
TG hyLIFT GmbH becomes hyCLEANER GmbH & Co. KG
At the end of 2023, Andreas Grochowiak will also be taking his well-deserved retirement.
